The past week and a half the weather has been unbelievable in Vancouver. The warmth and light of the sun in the early morning has made workouts VERY enjoyable. I had nice recovery last week after the Sun Run. This week I have jumped right back into training and have been feeling amazing. Rob Neilson has assured me that my ankle is about 95% better. I am really excited for the next few races Shaunessy 8K and Scotiabank Half Marathon. I am really excited to choose a fall marathon I am trying to decide between NYCM, Chicago Marathon, or Toronto Marathon. Hmmmmmmm tough decision.
As for this weeks training I had a double on Monday 40′ steady am/pm. Tuesday was fun a 120′ Progression run it felt good to tempo again! Wednesday I had a day off running but have been working on strength and conditioning with Andrew at the Kits Community Centre. He really makes working out at the gym alot of fun. Its funny being back at the gym after so many years in the yoga room Ha! Andrew is also really great at finding my weaknesses ohhh the burn! Thursday Today I got up early and did my long run 2 hours I ran to Stanley Park and hopped in the trails. My body has been loving the soft surface. It is so peaceful and calm in the trails I love it! Tomorrow I have another double day and Saturday I will be up at the track pumping out some mile repeats with Meaghan at a very early hour for Saturday 7am. Deep down inside I love to get the workout done early Thanks M!
Marilyn and I have been getting so excited for our upcoming workshop MINDFUL STRIDES in Victoria June 12/13. We also have 1 day Mindful Strides workshops coming up July 11 at Lululemon Robson location, July 18th at Flow YYOGA, July 25th Lululemon Robson Location and August 8th at Lululemon Victoria location.
