SEAWALL FUN

HAPPY NOVEMBER! WoW it is already November! Christmas is just around the corner! Woweee. My two favorite times of the year early Spring and early Fall. It was nice getting a fall Marathon done at the end of September. It gives me a chance to get a few more fun races in before the end of the year!
This past weekend I raced in the James Cunningham Seawall Race. It was a lot of fun! A really well organized event. Thank You to Linda Wong she did a amazing job organizing the event.

I did attend a Halloween/Birthday Party for my good friend Chris Brandt the night before so I did not get much sleep.

It was a beautiful sunny fall morning. The 10 am race start time made me extremely happy as well! The first few km I held myself back and stayed at a relaxed pace. I was feeling really strong at 3km so felt myself pick it up a bit. I ran controlled and relaxed but by 7km I was starting to feel I was slowing and getting fatigued. Focusing on my breath and form I found was relaxing me and was able to pick it up a bit the last km to finish strong. I could tell that Amy was quite close to me by people cheering. It was great to see all my friends out on their long run cheering us on in the race! Thanks Guys!! I was pleased to Finish 2nd Female Overall behind Kristina Rody. It really felt good to get the first race back after the marathon out of the way!

1st and 2nd Female

This weekend I will be racing on the VFAC Open Womens team at Haney to Harrison Relay. It is such a fun event, especially if the rain holds off. I am running leg 8 of the relay. It is 8km and the flattest part of the relay. That is all my legs can handle these days.
After the relay I am thinking of running the Fall Classic 5km Nov 21. 5km is a distance I need to work on. It is not my favorite distance to race. Hurts So Baaaaaad!

Check Back here next week I will be posting pictures from H2H check it out!
