Today was Part three of the Running into Yoga series. All three workshops were alot of fun. There was a range of all different levels of runners. People running their 21st marathon to people just getting back into it. Today the sun came out so we headed down to english bay for our run. There is nothing sweeter than running along the ocean in the sun with a cool breeze. There was a fun energy today. Quite a few people are getting ready to race the TC/BMO/Sun Run. Lots of energy!
Back at Flow in the Earth room we practiced yoga poses that are helpful for runners. After my 90′ run in the endowment trails this morning and 30′ with the group I was ready for a few poses myself. Yoga is so nice after a run to quiet the mind and soothe the soul! I received great feedback from everyone so you may see some more workshops pop up at yaletown yoga in the near future.
I am racing the TC 10k so this week of running will be a easy week of race preparation. I am looking forward to spending the whole weekend in Victoria preparing for TC and organizing the Mindful Strides workshop with Marilyn. It will be held June 12/13 weekend Check back for details very soon!
