I felt great Sunday morning minus the butterflies in my legs. I warmed up with Nat, Chessa and Meaghan. It was a amazing morning so warm and calm. The race started at 8:30am I went out conservative 3:38 first Km. When I got to halfway I realized I better pick it up 15:00. I wanted to quit at 6km but worked on staying relaxed. I picked up the second half finishing 29:54. I felt as though I could not push anymore I was maxed out. My pace was off but Jon said that happens after all the marathon training I have done and not a lot of speed work since. I placed fourth female, second in my age and a new PB so I am very happy. Cant wait for the next race. It was great to see everyone and get back into the energy of racing. A big Congrats to Meaghan who placed 1st female and ran a strong 29:22. Way to Go!
Today I woke up feeling very tired. I decided to wait till 10am to run. Thankfully I waited as the rain stopped and it turned out to be a beautiful mild run. I ran 60′ easy, my legs felt as though I had raced and my feet sore from my flats. Nice to have 2 easy days after the race.
I taught three classes today my 530pm class was amazing 50 people @ FLOW. The energy was on and everyone was so focused. We closed with a sea of OHMs it is was beautiful!
